Heavy Duty Ford Clutch Exclusively Manufactured for RWD Motorsport

We uniquely supply a heavy duty clutch kit that is a direct replacement for the Pinto 8 1/2″ clutch fitted to Escort, Cortina, Capri and Sierra Pinto models. Many customers are looking for the AP Racing 2511-1 clutch cover and CP5351, CP5354 or CP5352-5 clutch friction discs. However these products are very often discontinued or have long stocking lead times.

We have the clutch kits in stock and also available as a heavy duty clutch cover and heavy duty friction disc. We can also supply a compatible Solid Centre 5 Paddle Heavy Duty Clutch Friction Plate. If you are using a flywheel drilled for the Pinto clutch together with a Borg Warner T5 gearbox that uses the 10 spline 1 1/16″ input shaft as fitted to Ford Mustangs we supply a specially made Mustang or Falcon Commodore Heavy Duty 8 1/2 Inch Clutch Friction Plate.

The cover and plate will accept 280 ft lb or 380 Nm and are manufactured from alumimium and steel for the cover and a heavy duty organic material or sintered material for the paddle clutch. The total weight is 5.4Kg, which is just 0.2kg heavier than the standard cover and plate. Considering that the friction plate has twice the number of damper springs of the standard plate and the steel plate that the linings are riveted to is solid instead of cut away this is a small weight increase.
