Billet Aluminium Hydraulic Heavy Duty Release Bearing
High quality rebuildable heavy duty release bearing.
This high quality heavy duty release bearing utilises a hard anodised cylinder body with stainless steel piston. The sealed release bearing can be selected with either a radiused or flat face. Release bearing faces have a diamond hard coating.
See this Facebook post for how we stress test the kits.
Comes with a silver anodised mounting boss, oil seal and hardware. This can be specified for either a Type 9 5 speed gearbox with gasket or Type “E” 4 speed gearbox with an ‘o’ ring seal.
Before use in production please carry out a “dry run” checking the actuation of the slave cylinder over the entire clutch pedal stroke. A mechanical clutch pedal stop must be fitted to prevent the slave cylinder over throwing, which would lead to fluid leaks and seal damage.
Slave cylinder closed height from the gearbox face to the release bearing face is 71mm.
Slave cylinder extended height from the gearbox face to the release bearing face is 89mm.
If greater reach is needed please purchase the Anodised Silver Spacer for Billet Aluminium Hydraulic Heavy Duty Release Bearing. This can be machined to the correct thickness.
The cylinder can be rebuilt with our Billet Aluminium Hydraulic Heavy Duty Release Bearing Seal Kit.
Please specify a flat release bearing for curly finger diaphragm springs and a radiused bearing for flat diaphragm springs.
Use our Plumbing Kit for Billet Aluminium Hydraulic Heavy Duty Release Bearing to connect the slave cylinder to the master cylinder.
Please note that some images show the kit with the Anodised Silver Spacer for Billet Aluminium Hydraulic Heavy Duty Release Bearing which is not included with the kit.
