The 20 valve turbo from the VAG Group produces up to 236bhp in standard form (Audi TT Quattro Sport) and so is an ideal choice for a fast rear wheel drive conversion with little engine modification required. With our purpose made bellhousing you can now fit this ubiquitous engine to the Ford TYpe 9 5 speed gearbox.
The hydraulic actuation is achieved using a standard Mondeo slave cylinder, which connects via an adaptor (included) directly to the bellhousing rear inner face. The nose of the T5 will need to be cut down to allow the slave cylinder to slide over but this will not affect the integral oil seal.
- Requires a spigot bearing from the longitudinal Audi A4 engine.
- Starter required is the Audi A4 1.8 turbo variant
- If not using our clutch kit please use the VALEO Part # 826704 friction disc for the Sierra Cosworth T5 box. This has the correct 1" 23 spline setup. You may need to retain your standard cover depending on the engine
