Honda K20 and K24 Engine to Ford Type 9 Gearbox Gearbox Spigot Bearing
Honda K20 and K24 Engine to Ford Type 9 Gearbox Gearbox Spigot Bearing
£13.00
Converts crankshaft to accommodate the Ford Type 9 Gearbox in a RWD installation. Needed in order to support the longer length of the Ford Type 9 gearbox input shaft. Fits in the standard recess in crankshaft.
Consists of 2 roller bearing races mounted end to end. Allows a Honda K20 or K24 engine to be connected to any Ford Type 9 pattern gearbox using our Honda K Series to Ford Type 9 bellhousing.
Internal spigot diameter is 15mm (0.59″) – Ford Type 9 gearbox
External bearing diameter is 24mm (0.83″)
Length is 6mm (0.24″) x 2
Note: It will be necessary to cut a standard Type 9 input shaft spigot down by around 6mm, reducing the overall length of the input shaft from 171mm to 165mm. This is needed as the Honda K Series engine has a shallow spigot bearing recess.
The bearings are a push fit into the crankshaft recess but for extra security it is advisable to use Loctite or similar to glue the bearings in place.
